Kyle Fitzgerald is an accomplished West Coast Swing dancer and teacher from Toronto (Canada). He began dancing at age 11. Learning ballroom dances such as Cha Cha, Rumba, Jive, Waltz and Quickstep out of his father’s dance studio. Kyle is known for his smooth and effortless style, and innovative teaching techniques. His performance abilities have seen light all over the world. With multiple All-Star competition wins to his name and winning the Rising Star division at The Open (considered to be the premier event for those competing WCS routines) in 2022 he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his teaching.

We use a set of criteria for every level to make sure everybody in that level is at the same standard. This way every student in that class knows that the other students are at the same level. So they know they can keep up and they can help to grow the other students too.
You completed at least 6 weeks of the Intro II (Building a Solid Foundation) course.or You have significant experience with elasticity, standard patterns, footwork, body pulse, and turns. And you are familiar dancing Left Side Pass, Under arm Turn, Sugar Push and Whip. If you don't meet these requirements please contact Miranda for a skill assessment before you register!
You have achieved the minimum skills required in the skills assessment for Refining level.or You have 2,5 years or more West Coast Swing dance experience, you regularly attend International workshop weekends and have WSDC Jack & Jill competition experience (you have at least 1 Novice point in the role you attend). If you don't meet these requirements please contact Miranda for a skill assessment before you register!

For the Discovering level workshops, we expect that you are able to reliably execute basic pushes, passes, and whips as taught in our Essential classes (Intro I+Intro II). You have significant experience with elasticity, standard patterns, footwork, body pulse, and turns. And you are familiar dancing Left Side Pass, Under arm Turn, Sugar Push and Whip.
For the Refining level workshops, we're taking that a step further and asking that you have been dancing West Coast Swing for at least 2,5 years and have at least one point in Novice WSDC divisions in your preferred role.
Registration is required for all type of passes.

If you have have never competed before or have not yet earned any points in the Novice division, please contact Miranda for guidance before registering.
YES! We love it when you join us for the social dance on Friday and/or Saturday. Limited tickets will be available a little closer to the event.
